Career
Fatoumata Mbengue Ba has more than 26 years of combined experience in corporate finance, strategic advisory and the structuring of complex transactions in West Africa.
She began her career as an auditor at ERA Baker Tilly in 1999, where over 7 years she developed analytical rigour and an in-depth understanding of the financial issues of companies in the sub-region, supervising assignments across varied sectors (agribusiness, insurance, stock exchange, pension funds, distribution, freight forwarding, fishing, etc.).
She then joined Impaxis Capital, an investment bank based in Senegal, in 2006. As Deputy Managing Director, she led major assignments for governments, private groups and international investors in hospitality, real estate, transport, industry, agribusiness, healthcare and air transport.
In 2020, convinced of the need for independent, rigorous financial advice rooted in African realities, she founded FAM advisory in Dakar, with a clear positioning: no banking conflict of interest, total independence, and direct engagement alongside decision-makers.
